In summer 2008 commissioned by the Civil Rights 1968 Commemoration Committee, Sixsem produced a documentary to mark the 40th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement's emergence on to the streets of Northern Ireland. It features interviews with Ivan Cooper, Austin Currie, Anne Devlin, Michael Farrell, Denis Haughey, John Hume, Ken Maginnis and Edwina Stewart, and television and radio material from the RTÉ Archives along with bonus footage from UTV. Above is the opening to the documentary.
"The Sixsem Production Company are an imaginative, innovative company that bring a fresh approach to their work. The task we gave them, for the Northern Ireland Civil rights production, was to bring vitality and freshness to a subject that was 40 years old. They did it with flair and originality, yet never losing purpose, in a truly professional manner and gave the story an appeal to a whole new generation. I have the highest regard for Sixsem; they're not only thoroughly professional but highly efficient."
